Wensli Group, formerly being Hangzhou JianQiao Silk factory, was founded in 1975. After 30 years of development, it has become a large-scale enterprise group engaged mainly in woven, printing, dyeing and sales.
Through 30-year hard work and great efforts, Wensli Group has created many great performances in Chinese Silk industry. The trademark "Wensli" was deemed to Chinese famous trademark by State Administration for Industry and Commerce in 1999, and it is also the sole famous trademark of China in silk industry. In 2001, commissioned by the State Economic and Trade Committee, the senior silk underclothes which produced by Wensli were highly appreciated by heads, ministers and their spouses of many countries. Wensli Group was the designated traditional underclothes manufacturer for the leads which attended APEC. On November 14, 2005, Wensli silk edition ¡°Sun Tzu Art of War¡± was presented to former U.S. President Mr. George Herbert Walker Bush as the National Present, Mr. Bush fondled it admiringly and then he said that he would exhibit it in Texas "Bush Library". Every year, Mr. and Mrs. Bush received thousands upon thousands gifts all over the world, but there was very limit to exhibit in "Bush Library¡±. In April,2006, Wensli silk edition ¡°Sun Tzu Art of War¡± was also presented to U.S. President Mr.George Walker Bush when Chinese President Hu Jintao visited the United States. And these also re-affirmed the world's top brand status for Wensli silk.
At present, Wensli silk has been branded with the "court silk" reputation. In 2005, the total sales of the whole Group has broken through 5 billion yuan. With the 2008 Beijing Olympics approaching, Wensli faced new opportunity again.
